Frequently Asked Questions

  • We provide rapid prototyping and small-batch manufacturing using SLA, SLS, metal 3D printing, and CNC machining.

We can support both visual prototypes and functional parts for engineering and hardware teams.

  • We accept STEP / STP, STL, IGS / IGES, and 3D files packed in ZIP or RAR.

Drawings in PDF or DXF are helpful if you have specific tolerances or threads.

  • Send us your CAD files, quantity, material, and basic requirements through our “Get a Quote” form or by email.

We usually reply with pricing and lead time within 1–3 business hours.

  • For most processes, we can start from 1 piece.

Larger quantities may qualify for better unit pricing.

  • Quotes are typically valid for 7–14 days unless material prices change significantly.

If your project is delayed, we can re-confirm pricing before you place the order.

  • SLA is best for high-detail visual parts and smooth surfaces.

SLS is better for durable functional parts and mechanical components.

Metal 3D printing is used for high-value metal parts and complex geometries.

CNC is ideal for tight tolerances, production-grade surfaces, and engineering plastics or metals.

  • For SLA, we offer standard resin, ABS-like, tough resin, and clear resin.

For SLS, we mainly use PA12 and PA12 with glass fiber.

For metal printing, we support 316L, 17-4PH, AlSi10Mg, and Ti6Al4V.

For CNC, we can machine aluminum alloys and common engineering plastics such as POM, ABS, PC, and PMMA.

  • Typical tolerances are ±0.1–0.2 mm for SLA, ±0.2–0.3 mm for SLS, and tighter tolerances for CNC depending on geometry.

If you have critical dimensions, please mark them clearly in your drawings.

  • Every order goes through visual inspection and basic dimensional checks.

We can provide high-resolution photos and short QC videos so you can see your parts before they ship.

  • If your parts arrive damaged, please record a short unboxing video and take clear photos of the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
Send them to us at support@protoaxislab.com with your order number.

We will remake and ship replacement parts at no additional cost (excluding import duties and taxes).
This policy does not cover design-related issues or changes requested after production.

  • For simple prototypes, production can be as fast as 24–72 hours after payment and confirmation.

Complex geometries, metal parts, or large quantities may require additional time.

  • We ship under standard commercial invoices and HS codes to support customs clearance.

Import duties and taxes are usually paid by the receiver according to local regulations.
